NOTEWORTHY EVENTS

Annual Youth Butter Braid Fund Raiser

We will begin taking orders for Butter Braids AND offering samples on Sunday, January 15.  You can place an order in the office or from any participating youth up until February 5th. If you haven’t yet tried these wonderful pastries you don’t know what you are missing!

Butter Braid is the brand name for a type of Danish style, flaky pastry. It is hand-braided pastry dough wrapped around fruit and other edible fillings. An icing packet is included to drizzle atop the pastry. Butter braids come frozen and stay fresh in the freezer for months! Take one out, let it rise 8-12 hours (or overnight) and you have a delicious homemade-tasting breakfast treat or a dessert. The cost is only $12 per pastry – a variety of flavors are available. Support our youth’s annual mission trip and give yourself a treat!

January Mission Trip Meeting, Sunday, January 22 at 10:30 in the youth room. Be there!

Don’t Miss the First Annual St. Paul’s Youth Stock Sale!

“Youth Stock Sale,” you say, “What’s that?”

The youth of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will be selling stock during the months of January and February.

“What kind of stock?” you ask.

Each of you will have opportunity to “take stock” in the youth of our church! It is our goal for a youth to reach out by phone to every member, inviting each person/household to buy one or more shares of stock in the youth of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. This is a fundraiser for our 2017 mission trip.

All stockholders will receive a thank you note and a stock certificate. Stockholders will receive a postcard or note (or text with a picture or instagram – your choice) from one of the youth while the group is on their Mission Trip. This is a great way to make connection with one or more of the youth in our church.

And maybe best of all, each share of stock entitles one person to attend a stockholders’ banquet to be held in the late summer or early fall. A nice dinner will be served. Students will share their Mission Trip Adventures through pictures, words and music.

Watch for more information coming soon…and when you get your phone call – say “Yes” to taking stock in the Youth of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
